VSA: The First Vertical Solar Aircraft with Delta Wings

Revolutionizing Air Travel with Sustainable Technology

From the imagination and dreams of Arman Abadi

Arman Abadi, the visionary designer behind the groundbreaking VSA (Vertical Solar Aircraft), has created a design that pushes the boundaries of aviation. Inspired by his own imagination and dreams, Abadi has developed a unique aircraft that combines cutting-edge technology with sustainable energy sources.

The VSA is the first vertical solar aircraft to feature delta wings, allowing it to reach speeds of 250 to 300 km/h. By upgrading the engines from 40KW to 60KW, the speed can be further increased. Additionally, specific models can utilize a hybrid system to extend the flight range.

One of the key features of the VSA is its lightweight carbon fiber fuselage, which not only reduces the overall weight of the aircraft but also enhances its aerodynamics. The fuselage is designed as an integrated form, optimizing the aircraft's performance and efficiency.

In vertical flight mode, the VSA can turn left or right by adjusting the RPM (Revolutions per Minute) of the front engines in conjunction with the rear engine on the wings, resembling the movement of a gate. This innovative design allows for greater maneuverability and control during vertical flight.

The VSA is equipped with three engines, with the third engine specifically designed for vertical flight. When transitioning from horizontal to vertical flight, the two front engines are used for takeoff and landing, while the rear engine's air entrance wings open to enable vertical flight.

The solar surface of the aircraft spans approximately 140 square meters, housing 700 solar cells. These cells are organized into 70 cell packs, each containing 10 cells, to achieve a total of 10 ampere hours. With 15 hours of exposure to appropriate light, the VSA can reach a 50% charge.

With a length of 12 meters and a wingspan of 15 meters, the VSA weighs around 400 kg, including the weight of the pilot. It boasts a maximum speed of 250-300 km/h and a flight time of 2-2.30 hours. The design of the VSA took two years to develop, with the final version completed just two months ago.

The VSA has garnered recognition in the design world, receiving the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2013. This award is given to designs that demonstrate innovation, practicality, and adherence to industry standards. The VSA's integration of sustainable technology and its contribution to a better world have earned it this esteemed accolade.

Arman Abadi's VSA represents a significant leap forward in aviation technology. By combining vertical flight capabilities, solar power, and advanced aerodynamics, the VSA paves the way for a more sustainable and efficient future in air travel.
